Ok, so I've sold both my BlackBerrys, and one of the two K750i's I bought, and the same day I got rid of all three, I managed to spill chocolate milk all over my last remaining phone, the other K750i

Now, I've realised what it is I really use my phone for: calls and texts.

However, in regards to the other features, I have a few VERY specific requests, which I may as well list for the benefit of this exercise lol:

- 2MP AUTOFOCUS camera or higher
- LED flash, most important
- Either a Xenon flash as well, or the ability to plug one on (ala my MXE-60)
- An active camera slide/button, in other words, a very quick way of activating the camera. A camera button on the side that you have to push and hold irritates me, I want to get to my camera pronto!
- The ability to use the LED flash as a torch, or have it stay on when the camera is active (ie not only while focusing/taking the photo)

Thing is, since going back to my K750i, I've realised just HOW MUCH I used the LED flash, and I don't even go into the menu that often, I just pull open the lens cover, wait 3 seconds and push * and its on, instant light in the dark so to speak.

I'm sure theres some other specifics but I can't remember them right now

Normally, I would always know a short list of what to narrow this down to, but I'm really stuck.

Theres the C702 and K770i, but they don't work with my MXE-60 (I've started taking lots of night club pics and I don't want to carry my digital camera about in there).

I don't know what to get :/

Any suggestions, anyone?

None of SE's recent phones will work with the xenon flash add-on. It's ahem.... obsolete.
The only SE phones I can think of that would satisfy your requests would be either the K850 or the C905.

But do they both have LED light that will come on and stay on when you use the camera (without pressing the camera button to focus etc)?

Or at least the torch function? cause the C902 didn't :/

The c902 can have the LED turned on for a prolonged period of time when you're in video mode. So does the C905 (it has a seperate LED flash, in addition to a xenon one), because the LEDs are under the lens cover. The K850, on the other hand, has such an option in the Organizer menu. But I would advise you to stay away from the K850.

Yeah the K850i would be last on my list every time lol.

Might have to take a closer look at the C905 in that case, might be the nearest thing. I really still don't get why SE took the torch function out if the LED is still there :/

The W902 would be a nice alternative as well. No xenon but everything else is there.

True, but what about the active camera slide?

Lol it's ok, I know I can be pretty demanding with the features

I'll have a look at the C905 tomorrow then. I'm almost tempted to say "sod it" and get an LG Cookie or Viewty or something, really tempted to try one out (never had an LG before, or a touch screen, first time for everything).

I know they don't really have the features I want, but if I can't find what I do want/can get then I'll just go and get something different

no camera lens cover...

@Daedalus85: Why not K850?

Yes, i know is the last in your list, but you can give it a try:

-It has a superb lens cover mechanism like a real digital camera
-Led flash for video and focus + strong Xenon
-Torch function
-Cool media player and good sound
-Acelerometer
-With the latest firmware R1FA035 is very stable and fast.
-Large and bright display
-You can use MicroSd memory

And is very very cheap now, just make sure you buy it under warranty.

(sorry for my bad english)

Because I work in a mobile phone shop, and I get to see the horrors of day to day life when people bring phones back that are faulty.

The K850i has been the biggest headache for us since the W580i keypad cracking thing.

Plus I've tried using it, and the placement and usability of the buttons are so un-userfriendly that I wanted to throw it against a wall. Wouldn't be a smart choice of phone for me...

I've owned a K850i and the buttons do take a week or two (or at least longer then the 10 minutes in store) to get used to but once you're used to them you'll never want to change.

The T650i is a fantastic option, weighing in at <£150 for the rare black version on eBay, torch and good camera. Really god colour reproduction, fabulous finishing, I'd be still using mine if it didn't get stolen and I wasn't going for the C905. Scratch resistant lens or something similar so it doesn't need the lens cover. Not sure about Xenon add-on compatibility.

I've had my C905 since it's release and it is the best phone I've ever had.
No other statements needed.
It's one niggling point is the torch function but, put the camera on, turn it to video and turn the LED. It's very VERY bright. I'm going to hold onto this one for a while.

If you want a brief on the ups and downs of any of the phones I've had over the current portfolio PM me. I've had K800, K850, T650, W760, W910, S500, C905 and C902.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

K850i's a no-no because of the reliability, and I've tried it for alot longer than 10 minutes, and every single time it drives me mad.

And T650i is a K770i in an expensive case, so I may as well have the K770i.

The reason for the camera slide cover wasn't to protect it, I don't care about that at all, it's so it's quick to activate, I did say that once already....

And no, it doesn't work with the MXE-60.

@ Daedalus85

hey mate.... looking at what your needs are, i would recommend getting the w810i.... same camera features as in k750, except for the camera cover.... but since you dont need the cover for protection, you could use one of your d-pad's directional key to open the camera function.... thats what I do, and it doesnt take even 2 seconds to run the application.... plus its a quad band phone with edge in it, and a wonderful walkman application.... so just keep it in mind while you surf for your phone.... cheers....
