A mate has a Nokia 6300 which he has forgotten the phone lock code to. I know there is the app that has been mentioned here for SE phones ( cant remember the name) Is there something similar for Nokias. Any help is good, cheers!!

There was an app over on www.nokiafree.org I think the address is that could read or calculate your lock code and a code you entered to reset your lock code. I did it on a 6230i, not sure if it'll work on the latest Nokias or not but worth a try!

That was for DCT4/DCT5 based phones. If I'm not mistaken, the 6300 is a BB5 phone.

You need to write RPL to reset the code.
Its a BB5 Platfrom.

RPL is a file that contains some security data.
You need to flash your phone with that.
The RPL should cost around $20.
