tried c905 today in the store (unbranded R1BA034), it was one thing who feelt a bit odd and thats was the D-Pad, (the frame around the d-pad) it was not very pleasent to use i think, otherwise (except for it Big size) it was good..........

all pictures is shoot same time.

I seriously doubt the C905 pics look like that in real life, even if he was comparing his c902 to a DSLR camera i guantee the c902 would win some how. It looks like the C902 was using document scene to me.

I'm also suspicious (I have a C902 ) but the C902 pics look better

The C905 needs a new firmware to boost his potential

Since I (still) own both phones I will go ahead and do a head to head on day and night shots in the next couple of days. Let me know what modes you want me to compare.

Take Document photos on both C902 and C905 to compare with @plank pics

Also Macro and Auto

I have a C902 but I'm still looking forward a C905 and it's good to compare in the photo area

Guys, I got myself a C905 today and I did own the C902 twice before. I can confirm that the C905 takes slightly SOFTER pics due to the fact that it is tuned to reduce noise as much as possible. The result is MUCH less noise than most cameraphones (particularly the C902) BUT with a slightly SOFTER appearence. One can easily sharpen them with any free photo-editing software like the outstanding Irfanview.

Oltherwise...it much thicker than the C902 but it has a much brighter and larger display which is still not a match for the better 2.4 in. displays by Samsung and Motorola. Compared to the display of the ZN5, the C905 looks less bright and more "washed-out". The materials are also of moderate quality without ANY tiny bit of metal...a U900 or a ZN5 are MUCH better made. Anyway, it has lots of advantages as well like the (crippled) GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and the extremely useful MULTITASKING!

One more thing...I bought it here in Greece for 450 euros after a 10% discount with a coupon. The retail price of 500 euros is rather ridiculous in my opinion for this particular device and for the materials used.

first picture...auto..(well and macro, other picture)
second....macro
third...macro

ps.....i tried both documnet & macro with c905 just to see, it was no difference at all....(exactley as c902, macro produce same sharpness as document)...

c905 had some issues to get good sharpness, i think thats the biggest improvment a new software should do.
