I am all set to buy a G700 but the one and only thing bothering me is the battery life of G700. Different users have given some data but it seems to be inadequate to clear the battery performance of the Sets.

Thank You for ur reply Karun.
That makes things quite clear. G700 seems to have a good backup time.

Maybe it's also good to mention your back light settings. I've noticed that a change from 50% to 25% can make lot of difference.

@ Karun :
Ok , i would definitely take care of that.
Besides , i actually phone only for 10-30 minutes of calls each day and some 30-45 minutes of Netsurfing/Games.

So i think i will make it to two days.

actually i am using the Moto Rokr E6 , which is a fantastic device but due to its heavy processor 500 Mhz+ ( running at 312 Mhz ) , the battery drains in a few hours so i dont even get a day !

But your stats make me quite optimistic and i will definately buy this state-of-the-art G700 soon after my exams.

Thanks for ur time dude. btw i am from India too.

btw i think its worth seeing this for new Mobile users regarding battery...

Below are some helpful tips on what to do if you're having trouble charging your phone, or if your battery capacity is too low.

* Use a Sony Ericsson Charger. Third-party chargers may damage the battery and/or the phone, as well as affect the battery life.
* We recommend you charge the battery for at least 2.5 hours prior to first use.
* If your battery is extremely low on charge, it may take up to 30 minutes of charging before the battery-charging icon appears on the screen.
* In areas with poor reception, your phone uses more power and thus drains the battery faster.
* The battery consumption also increases if you use games or other applications, or if Bluetooth™ or Infrared is switched on.
* Most new phones allow charging with the USB cable. With some phones, you also have the option to select whether you want to allow USB charging. If you're trying to charge with USB, make sure that your phone supports USB charging and that the option is switched on.

Setting the phone to GSM only instead of GSM/3G saves a lot of juice.
