I am desperate to find out how to connect my T39 to my laptop to enable me to use my current GPRS service on the Internet, I had it previously set up with my Ipaq 3660 but that lost all its settings due to the battery going low whilst on holiday and I am totally lost too. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

First of all install the modem drivers... on most OSs that are plug n play you can simply turn on th IR or BT on the phone and connect it to the PC... the PC should detect the modem and install the drivers.

Now you need to to create a regular dialup connection but instead of a phone number you need to put in the following dial string:
*99***n# where n is the CID num of your Data Account (under Settings->Data Comm

Ps. make sure that the dialup connection doesn't try to put a prefix in front of this number and you should be ready to go... simply connect to the internat through the new dialup session.

Many thanks for your reply, I think all my drivers are up and running already, so I will try the connection settings that you have advised and see what happens. The PC connects via an ordinary modem but now I hopefully with your help can get it to go through the T39 modem and GPRS settings. Many thanks for your help, I will let you know how I get on.
