Recently i had what was described as BROD on my k850i on firmware: R1FAO35 and after hours of searching i found some software such a davinci that fix it for a price, well yesterday i fixed my k850i by updating the software via SUES ( Sony Ericsson Update Service) i connected my phone to the pc using a data cable and followed the steps to update, i finally reached the part where it recognises the phone and it displayed this message " you already have the latest firmware/software" and i chose install again. and when it did it downloaded and installed the same firmware, and then it finally worked, saved money and time! you need the latest version of SEUS i have : Update Service Version 2.8.11.7
and you need a Data cable. so those of you who have a k850i with BROD tell me if this works for you!

Yep the branded ones give problems. Got my K850 4months ago and it was Voda branded, had BROD twice and restartd frequently, this was all with R1EA031 Voda fw. I recently debranded my K850 and updated to the latest R1FA035 and its now very stable, and so much better to use. Havent had a restart, even multitasking with no hick ups, i say go for it.
