OK my phone is all set up perfectly, and using an upnp media centre I can find the phone. However the phone only has 2 root upnp folder. "Photo" and "Music".

There is no provision what-so-ever for streaming video clips you've taken with the phone over DLNA. Is this an over sight or a problem with Vodafone's firmware?

I've used an upnp browser and have the XML from the phone's server, and indeed there is no provision for a video folder.

...
[av:standardCDS xmlns:av="urn:schemas-sony-com:av"]5.0[/av:standardCDS]
[av:musicRoot xmlns:av="urn:schemas-sony-com:av"]101[/av:musicRoot]
[av:photoRoot xmlns:av="urn:schemas-sony-com:av"]102[/av:photoRoot]
...

As you can see - the music and photo roots are there but nothing for video or movie.

I was wondering if anyone who is non-Vodafone could see if they could stream their video clips via DLNA (PS3 or XBMC etc)

I think only streaming video by cable is possible, not by WiFi.

C905 seems to have same DLNA limitations like Sonys new line of LCD's (W4500), which also supports only pictures and audio (not video) over DLNA.

I'm sure I seen the instructions on the SE site on how to set up the video streaming cable.

According to SE homepage you can use the cable ITC-60 to watch video on your TV.

This text is quoted from SE support page for the ITC-60

1. Connect the cable end with the tree cables to your TV set. The yellow cable is the s-video cable, and it should be connected to the s-video input (Usually marked yellow on your TV). The red and white cables are for the L- and R- audio input. (Usually marked with red and white on your TV)
2. On your TV, choose to view external input or AV input. This is usually done using the TV remote.
3. Connect the TV-Out cable to your phone using the Sony Ericsson system connector.
4. Now you can listen to music, view pictures, and video on your TV screen, using your phone menus.
