I know what you mean. Year by year we don't notice the changes but put like that they're quite noticeable..

also no dab, no direct x 10, no internet banking.
Things we use everyday didn't exist even 10 years ago.
I know what you mean mate we take it for granted.
mobile phones wern't really mobile.

What is now and wasn't back then... ehmmm...... living on this side of the big pond AND being legally allowed to drink alcohol, to name the first things that come to mind 
ten years ago I had no mobile phone, nor a PC at my house (dorm) at the time, no car, endless energy to go partying I gues some things do change a wee bit.
Tabloid sized newspapers were rare over here (they were all big paper size for some reason)
10 years ago Swissair Flight 111 carrying a friend of mine crashed near Nova Scotia

There was no DVDplayer or even a laptop in my possession, I'd never seen a hybrid car, however I DID see a space shuttle launch, something I have not seen since

10 years ago ('95 to be more precise), my dad took my mom & I on a trip around the world. Last year, I took my parents on a trip around the world. 
10 years ago, I had to ask my dad for pocket money. Now I can afford to buy stuff without asking for it.
10 years ago, I was using dog turd software called Windows 98. Now, I'm thrilled with Ubuntu and Leopard.
Everything hasn't necessarily progressed. 10 years back my dad drove a car from a particular German marque that was super sturdy and well built. Now my dad drives a newer model of the same car but it's riddled with problems. An absolute dog.
Some of the modern cars just aren't built like the cars from the 90s.

Yeah. It's pretty crap being 6. It has it's perks at times, like being an aeroplane and whatnot, still being made to drink a carton of milk at break time, still being able to go out and not give a damn/be aware of what you look like!
When I was 6, I had a Scalextric. Racing my dad on that kept me entertained for days on end!

10 years ago I'd have been left school for 4 years,
Left collage for 2 years,
Held my first perminent contract at the place I currently work for a year (been there 12 years now).
Passed my driving test (passed motorbike test 2 years before),
Split up with a girl I was seeing.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose  |
