C905: How to lock keys without opening and closing the slider? |

As the subject says - is it possible to lock the keys within opening and closing the slider, in case you have been "messing around" in the menu with the slider closed?
Thanks. |

If it's anything like the W910i, then no there is no other way to do so. Especially seeing the C905 doesn't have it's own dedicated on/off key (which on a phone which does have one, gives you the option to turn on the key lock when you press it once).

I thought this was strange on my C905, seeing as the profiles menu isn't available, i guess there is no way to lock the keypad. You could turn on automatic keylock and wait a few seconds, apart from that, just slide away!

You can lock the keypad in w910 without to open the phone:

They could have easily implmented it, most obvious way would be..
"C" and then the top left button. |

press the power button once.
it will give you the option to change profile, turn off the phone, or.................. lock keypad
well, its been like that for other sliders ive owned
or of course, there is the automatic keylock option which you can find in the settings menu, under security.
will automatically lock after a short period of time. dont know how many seconds exactly.

Personally i'd like to be able to have the menu mediar showed back. something like tap the C then the power button, or something.
@>500 they've removed the menu on the C905, all you can do is turn the phone off, strange i know!

The powerbutton is integrated with the "hang up"-button, that goes to the standby screen. Pushing it when in the standbymode doesn't do anything, no menu etc appears. |

that stinks!
edit: i forgot, its the same on all phones which have the power button intergrated into hang up button. as said above, no menu comes up. that button would only work to hang up (obviously ) or comepletely exit a certain menu

Too right!
I've had to add the profiles menu from settings to the shortcuts section of the activity menu, so when i've got a meeting i don't have to faf with the phone as much.
Sadly that still doesn't help with locking the keypad

Dang it .. would prefer I could just lock the keypad without using the slider everytime - I don't have too much faith in the slider as it is (it's a bit woobly, from side to side). Guess I will have to look into the auto-lock feature. |

So here comes the first thing which I don't like in C905 (plus for W910 ) - there isn't spetial button for shut down and no such usefull menu. Very bad.

I am not sure if it can done manually but if not y not let it lock itself takes about 10 seconds if u don't touch anything.
Automatic keyguard
From Main Menu>Settings>General>Security>Automatic keyguard>On.
After 10secs of no activity, it will auto lock.
