All:

I use my SE W580i's web browser quite often - the pages even load faster than on my dial-up connection at home!

However, I'm frustrated at not being able to hear audio clips or video clips posted on some web sites i.e., news interviews - y'know the ole' 'to hear audio click here; for video click here'' buttons.

Presently, I get some error message 'unsupported' etc. I've noticed that the options are for Windows Media Player or Real Player; neither work and I get the same error message (I am aware that I do not have either application).

But when on the YouTube site, I can view video and hear sound. I'm guessing it's all about file format; and I'm wondering if there's an application or particular setting I can use to hear a file intended for Windows Media Player (or Real).

All I can think of (and it's ridiculous), is to somehow save the 'target audio/video' to my home PC and convert it on my PC to .flv or something and then transfer it back to the phone as an ,flv .mp3 or mp4 file!

There has to be a way to navigate to these audio or video links on the phone, as if I'm browsing at home (I am aware that my phone's browser is very different from internet explorer). I'm certain that this has been encountered before and there's a fix:
application? Different browser? Phone internet browser settings?

Phone is un-tampered with/non-flashed.

Any help or comment on this issue is greatly appreciated in advance,

Tom Logan
