I have no respect for RM what so ever anymore! Been awaiting my turbo sim for a while now, as i bought it off Mamber and he sent it recorded, but due to work i was ubable to collect it also my sorting centre closing at 2PM doesnt help so WTF are they playing at!!!

Continuing swiftly...

So the sim gets back to mamber and i ask him to put a 1st class stamp on that way it will come through my door, today an envelope arrives so i open it to find the instructions and a empty packet where the sim should of been and a nice little slit down the side of then envelope! How nice of them to take it!

Any1 else fed up RM or is it just me?

Its not the money factor i could buy 60 turbos a week its just the fact of them stealing it when ive been waiting to recieve it...

I dread sending anything by RMSD even, let alone First Class. You wait and wait and wait - no next day anymore for First Class and then it might not even turn up.
You only have to look at ebay postal forums to see how much goes missing in transit. It has to be RMSD or Recorded for everything nowadays!

I do agree its bad they are very unreliable and a terrible company at that!! Thing is they make loads of money off us, then steal from us too!

Its ridiculous! I bet half of RM staff even have criminal records, you would think they would police check them all. Just pure lazyness...

Funny you should say this Rid, but I had another problem like this!

I sold another sim to ''5nak3'' and he also had a problem with the delivery.

This time it was sent Recorded delivery and he also received the envolope slit at the corner. I sent out another sim to him which sadly came out of my pocket!!

His had the little grey bag inside which contains the sim, but no Turbo sim.

The thing is I hot sealed every sim card in the bag before I sent them!!!

I wonder if Royal Mail have a problem with their sorting machine, and it catches the envolopes?

Or perhaps a little problem with an employer!

If an item is sent Special delivery and turns up late or damaged (including bits missing from inside) then you can make a claim from Royal Mail. The more people claim then the more they will realise something is wrong. Complaining about it here and then doing nothing doesnt help. Act upon the problem.

@jcwhite_uk
Now why didn't I think of that, to make a claim from Royal Mail when my item was sent Recorded Delivery!!!!

Perhaps that's why I sent the package Recorded delivery just in case!

I sent another item to the buyer so he did not loose out in the mean time while the claim is in progress!

right just so you no, if its sent Recorded it means it will deffinatley get there they have no time scale on it, ( but wait doesn't a first class stamp do this yes i no )

Special Delivery means its insured and has to be there the next day before 9am or 12am,

I urge you if it isnt or arrives damaged go and complain you can get compo, the whole point of RMSD and Recorded is that it is insured and has to arrive unsaved

@Mamber
It wasnt aimed at you but people in general. I meant people in are quick to complain but lots of people cant be bothered to do anything about it.

OK no problem.

I would assume 99% of people on this forum know about RMSD and RD, and the amount of payment they would get if they claim. I have claimed several times, and the perfomance you go through sometimes makes me wonder if it's worth the hassle!

I always try and send everything special delivery now. Recorded delivery is good but your limited to £36 maximum in compensation and confirmation is only available after the item has been delivered. Special delivery is insured up to £250 unless you enhance it. Had to make a claim before as well and it took ages to get any sort of reply and compensation.

Special Delivery is insured up to £500, not £250, I believe. The problem is the time it takes to get your money back - can be months! And then you might only get back 10 first class stamps.

So what've we all learned?
Use a damn courier! They cost a limb or two - but at least they're not going to steal anything!

Have you seen how couriers handle items, especially small items like phones? They get chucked on and off the vans and get heavier items put on top of them. I have had more stuff destroyed by couriers than I have by RoyalMail.
It is a lot easier getting compansation from a courier normally though.

I've never had any problems with items I've had sent and received by companies like ParcelLine/DPD and UPS. And as you mentioned, claiming from a masssive company like UPS would be a hell of a lot easier than RM...
