hi all

ive been given a task of finding as many reasons (bout 20 actually) possible why people use/would want to use mobile internet. cant just be like, check email. needs to be a tad more detailed.

ive thought of a couple but have gone blank.

K well, a few weeks a go I was in the Sony shop and they had a USB flash drive which was more expensive than I had expected it to be. I went away for a while because I decided not to buy it. The I recalled seeing it cheaper than that on Sony's website, so I pulled out my phone and went to the Sony website and found the product and it's price which was significantly cheaper. I then went and showed the staff at the Sony shop their very own website on my phone and they gave it to me for the price quoted on the website.

That good enough?

Kind of, but I didn't buy it online at all. I bought it from a physical shop, but used my phone to check the pricing cause it was labeled wrong in the shop.

Maybe price-checking on the go?

I receive RSS alerts associated to keywords on the phone instantly when new tv shows are broadcasted in the USA (Heroes, Prison Break, etc), then I switch on my computer via "Wake On Lan", then I connect to my home computer account via a VNC connection, I start downloading the episode, and when I get back home I can enjoy the movie

I've only ever really found it handy for checking cinema times, checking the opening/closing times of various retail stores, checking dominos pizza menus and occasionally attempting to check my web based email.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

I use it to check for availability of my packages at my courier's web page while on the go, so i know if i need to schedule a stop at their warehouse...

I also have used it to check the upcoming weather in hurricane season.
