I got my T650i 4 days ago, it is an O2 branded T650i. The problem is the camera which is horrible, it doesn`t come close to the photos taken by other T650i users on Esato. I have put the driver from the last firmware, and still no major change, all the photos I take look kind of cold, and sometimes they have some strange white haze. Other than that I think that the details are normal, just as any other T650i camera. I`ve also tried 6 K770i`s, and each had a different camera, only two had a great camera we`re all used to. (they all had the same firmware) Is it possible that SE has put different cam modules in some K770i & T650i`s?

I`ll try to flash my T650i with the original firmware, just to be 100% sure that my branded firmware is not the problem. (although as I sad I`m using a cam driver from the last firmware available)

Here are some photos I took just to test the camera, so you be the judge:

Oh, oh, oh, I know what this is called: Poor photography skills. There's nothing wrong with the details, hence the quality of the photos.

@SaLiH,
I see what you mean. The first photo I opened (the pizza of course, looks very yummy!) has vertical lines. Definitely not a driver problem as I've only seen two versions in the firmwares (4.3 and 4.5).

Maybe SE put a different (read: cheaper) type of camera module in the more recently manufactured phones, like what they did with the K750? But here the quality difference is much greater than it was then.

What does cold colors have anything to do with photography skills? its a frackin point and shoot camera. You point at the person, and press the button.

@Mizzle - No need for being rude! I took these photos just to show what I`m talking about. I never said that there`s something wrong with details, but colors and coldness of the photos. Compare the colors of my photos with other photos posted in T650i photo thread and you`ll see what I`m talking about.

If you want to see my photo skills check my flickr and then draw your conclusion!

@AbuBasim - That`s exactly what I mean. I bought T650i to use it for 6 months, until I decide which phone will I buy next. Quality of my photos really disappointed me, I expected much better photos, since I saw some amazing shots in T650i photo thread.

@QVGA

Well, I most certainly wouldn't expect you to be an expert on cameras or photography, so I'll just overlook that ridiculously incompetent comment. "Cold colors".... Right. Newsflash: It's called white balance.

There's nothing wrong with the first photo. The camera set a white balance based on the relatively dark coloured shirt, hence the over-exposure in the top of the photo. No focus problems, though.

I've got no idea what happened on the second and third picture, but I suspect it's got something to do with that white/red striped dress or whatever you call that. I would personally have pointed the camera with her head in centre to get the optimal white balance setting and then lowered the camera again.

The next three pictures are out of focus. That has nothing to do with the phone.

And the last picture looks like a night shot or a shot in dark surroundings, hence the blurred result.

@SaLiH

So... These photos were taken only to demonstrate your problems? Well, then obviously, they'll go wrong, won't they?

As said, you're experiencing white balance problems in some of the shots. If you've got white or bright elements in a photo, point the focus at something a tad darker, and do your focussing.

I wouldn't say I'm rude, but having tested the T650 myself, I know it performs better than this.

You're all confusing terms, though. Quality has nothing to do with colours, white balance, etc. Quality is how fine and sharp the camera sensor draws lines and details in photos, and nothing more.

Looking at your flickr albums, I see a lot of everyday snaps and nothing more. Again, I'm not trying to be rude, but you asked me to draw a conclusion. Get a dSLR camera and start doing some real shooting, then I'd love to draw a new conclusion

@QVGA - Thank you for the support! They are on the cold side, especially when you compare them to photos from the T650i thread!

@groovepeppy - I`ll tell her, but she is probably going to kill me when she finds out I posted photos of her on the public forum. Btw. she is a model.

@PeterKey - Thank you brother, I`ve seen your photos taken with T650i, and they seem to have the same problem.

to be honest, i really didn't catch the "cold colour" problem.
take a look at the 3rd picture, yes the picture seems to have "more" gamma effects but the colour looks very natural imo

@Mizzle - Thank you for the comments and explanations. As I said in my first post, I'm very pleased with the quality of the photos, meaning details which are great, coming from the annoying K800i which had horrible post processing and ate all the details with oil painting/water color effect, T650i is amazing. I'm just saying that something's wrong with the colors, because I've seen many photos taken with T650i which had well saturated rich colors. I've also used couple of K770i's and they produced an amazing photos, with excellent details and rich colors.

About my sets, I'm not interested in DSLR photography but mobile photography, cause I think that is easier to get a great shot with a real professional camera than with a CMOS cell phone with a small sensor. That's why my flickr consists of everyday shots, I like taking shots of things we see everyday, but hardly nootice them. I have a friend who is a professional photographer, who told me that I've reached the maximum with a mobile phone, and that I should buy some serious equipment like Canon EOS 350D. Here's his flickr:

No, I really don't, please explain to me.

@SaLiH,
That's cool, dude, but if you're really interested in photography, you should take the next step to at least compact cameras You can also get dSLR cameras that are pretty simple, i.e. the EOS 350D, as you mentioned. It'll get interesting if you choose to do that, because your gallery is actually cool, but the phones mess up the pics with their limitations.
