Has anyone else had a problem with the C902 randomly turning itself off?

I updated to R3DA028 a few weeks ago and the phone has been working fine since (and was before) but in the last 24Hrs its turned itself off three times. Thats not a restart but completely off, no buttons respond. As its never did this before yesterday I'm confused as to why its starting now!

Any ideas why this might be happening, or has anyone else had this problem?

Cheers for the help.

Try SEUS again and see if there is some other update available. If not you can try master resetting the phone or at the end using totalgsm to flash it... The problem seems to be software related one as the phone is turning itself off... Check totalgsm's prices and decide if it is worth or not. You may fix the phone with that.

I know loads of people with this problem. A SW upgrade didn't do much for me.

jalal, do you still have the problem?

It's just done it again, very annoying.

I'll try taking my memory card out and if that doesnt help I'll try SEUS again. Pretty bad software design if you ask me!

It's unbranded. It came from Orange but for some reason didn't have any of their branding on it.

Is a master reset like doing the SEUS again? (ie. remove all the settings and any files I have put on the phone myself) but without actually reinstalling all the software from the SEUS site.

On Thursday I sold it because it was still restarting randomly and I just got tired of it freezing and restarting.

My cousin had this problem with his Nokia N73, he put a small piece of folded paper between battery and cover and it never happened again!
So the problem wasn't with the software (which he thought at first, as the N73 has many software glitches), but with the battery, apparently not sitting tight enough.
You might give this a try, when it doesn't help, it doesn't harm either .

My buddy had it too, unbranded, no crashes or restarts.. Also unbranded.. Strange with some SW.

You don't have to do SEUS again when you have done masterreset..

Did you format your memory card after the update?
You should always do that after using the SEUS.

In my case it had nothing to with the battery. My battery was in place properly and was hard to remove some times. I needed long nails sometimes to flick it out.

Use the default theme, Maximum time the phone crash with latest firmware on others themes. May be it’ll help.

Mine used to do it, got to a point when it would no longer switch on, so I sent it back and got a 6220 Classic.

I didn't format the memory card after SEUS and it hasn't turned itself off yet since I took it out.

I was also using non-default themes/ringtones stored on the memory card so maybe this was having an effect.

I'll see how it does over the next 24hrs then format the memory card and put it back in.

Is it advisable to copy theme's to the phones memory so they are running from there rather than on the memory card? Same with ringtones?
