hey guys. i started my sony ericcson love with the T68 and then P800 then P910i and now P990.

so id like features of the P series and i dont see any new one coming out (newest i saw was P1i). and my mom asked me that she wanted to switch from nokia to SE so i looked up some phones and the G900/705u caught my eye for ME lol.

is there a SE that combines the G900 with G705u features? namely the touchscreen and smartphone features of the G900 with the GPS of the G705u? this would be for me

and whats a good phone for someone who used nokias for 10+ years and wants a SE phone? this would be for my mom

I reckon your only alternative is the X1, which is quite pricey.

As for your mom, the T700 would be a great phone, IMO.

@Naar: I just bought a Z750i for my mum to replace her W300. Most women (at least by my experience) prefer flip phones over candybars (such as the T700) and the 3G/240x320 equipped Z750 (along with the 2.5G/176x220 equipped Z610) is probably the most fashionable 'girly' phone in the portfolio.

As for your ideal phone, the only options are the X1 (on-board GPS but not UIQ) or a P1i with a GPS attachment.

yes i know about the X1 but when i found it was not a SE phone (its justing using the name right?) i wasnt interested.

it doesnt have standard stuff found in other SE phones like sony memory sticks for example. unless im wrong please correct me

EDIT: oh btw i looked at the T700 and it is kinda "girly" my mom is kind of a power user lol...she travels monthly and uses the camera extensivly too. most important for her is to have a lot of on board memory for storing stuff.

i mean a G900 would be great for my mom...i would recommend it for her if it had the GPS (i know my mom would love the GPS but not needed) so is G900 good for both of us?

Well, HTC just manufactured it. It was SE who designed the phone itself. The Panels skin is entirely SE-made, for example. I mean, come on, the design itself hints that it's a SE phone.

EDIT: Well, I think UIQ wouldn't be a very sensible decision if you want her to be left with a good first impression of SE phones. It's kinda slow and un-intuitive, compared to A2.

How about C905 for your mom and X1 or iPhone for you? As TS phones go, the iPhone can't be beat and it has all the features you're looking for. Since you didn't mention it, you've probably decided against it already, but I just thought it should get a mention.
I prefer the G705a to the G900 anyday even without the TS.
