Hello guys!!!

Im thinking how does the dust affects the functionality of phone's keypad?

Because some of the answers posted herein regarding key problems are answerable by accumulated dust under the keys.

Hope you help answering my queries

Thanks in advance

Just like joysticks, dust prevents contact between the metal terminals of the keypad mat preventing your keypad to function properly - i used to have this problems with my old nokias (3310,3610) but never ever happened again after.

If that is the case. How can i remove the dust without opening the cover of the phone?

Because my phone has warranty on it.

on a newer phone i guess you don't have to clean those parts as they already been sealed from dust etc.

thats true, there is a thin plastic over the metal parts, but sometimes the glue prevents contact between the metals
