I have successfully applied loads of patches before.
My phone still works fine when I switch it on.
The patch I used:

I guess the patch is invalid... but it happens with nearly every patch, and it never had up until a couple of days ago

Ah, cheers, Thought it might be. Though that means every patch I use nowadays is wrong. Boy do I know 'ow to pick em

You saved the patch in UniCode Try save it using notepad into Ansi Format

most of all vkp are in UTF-8 format...
