I have had a couple of complaints about distortion when I am talking on my T68. I read that R2A software had improved this but also read somewhere that there is a hardware fix to reduce sensitivity. Any one know if this is the case? |

Same problem =(
I've got R1B - old one. I'll wait 4 R2B with MMS support. Hope it'll change the situation. |

Trick is that you gotta have the phone at least 3cm away from your mouth that way the others hear you clearly and DONT SHOUT into the sensitive T68 mic!!!

HI John,
I just surfed through your website and sent you an email. Just need to know. I tested the T68 on a few separate occasions and found that the Mic is indeed Over Sensitive and tends to pick up a lot of backgorund noise. What I need to know is that according to your website, R2A solved this problem. How true is this?
Please confirm.
Thanks. |

I don't have the problem since R1C. But this may be case-to-case. |

I've had a problem with the mic also. But not when talking on the phone, but when inserting voice commands. I have 2 T68's at this time, the older one is manufactured in week 40 something, and the newer one in week 52.
When I record a voice tag on the older phone, it will be so loud that I have to move the phone from my ear. And when I try using the voice tags the phone just doesen't understand me. I even tryed adding voice tags via headset. And nothing works. I've had the phone updated with every SW version that has been out, I have also had the mic adjusted (something they can do in the workshops) and that has not solved the problem. The phone also gives a massive feedback if I enter the Microphone test menu. I'm beginning to believe this is a hardware issue.
The newer phone does not seem to have this massive feedback, nor the problem with voice tags as well as its battery is not "a little bit" loose and the keypad is fully illuminated. So I'm beginning to think that Voice Dial issues are hardware related!

Well, I have R1B and I thought everything was ok, but then I went to the service menu and did the microphone test and a loud peeping noise started....which I think means that the microphone is too sensitive....
So, I guess I have the same problem as you guys... I think it's a bit lame of not to notice this themselves in the beginning

I have R2B now and the mic works fine with me! I had a document printed by ericsson here in Greece that was ment for the Ericsson Servive Points and they stated clearly that R2B is mostly a fix of the mic sensitive than just adding another game (naval fleet). I am pleased with R2B and the behaviour of my mic. At least Ericsson is trying to fix the problem. |

MY experience is with R1B even if I use HLH15 bluetooth headset the problem still the same.. People still complain my background noise..
Same question, how true the firmware R2A will fix the problem.. |
