The key differences I have noted are:

Camera pixel : 3GB (G700) vs 5GB (G900)
WLAN/Wifi: No (G700) vs Yes (G900)
Synchronization: No (G700) vs Yes (G900)

To save money, I am thinking of buying the G700.
I am OK with the Camera pixel and Wifi differences

Can anyone explain what is the feature of Synchrpnization?
Does no synchronization of the G700 mean that it cannot sync with a PC or this mean something else?

Thanks!

Are you sure you do not want wifi? It can be very handy when you're out and about somewhere in the city and need some fast (free) internet. A lot of coffee places, restaurants, etc all have free wifi nowadays. If you have a flat rate 3g/grps you might be able to do without. For me wifi is a must now.

WiFi and an extra 2MP aren't killer features but the biggest downers for the G700 are the crappy soapbox look and horrendous color. would've been better off replacing the default color with the one from the G700 Business Edition. The G900 looks a lot more professional.

Heck, if you're going to buy a G700, why not get the P1i?

I seldom use the camera of my mobile, hence the smalled pixel count is no big deal.

I have a flat rate plan, hence no wifi is not a concern.

My main concern is whether the G700 can sync with my PC or not.
Can anyone explain what "No Synchronization" means?

Thanks!

I have synchronized my G700 with Outlook and Vista Windows Contacts MANY times and it does it very "professionally". And, since I owned the G900 as well, the G700 camera takes MUCH better photos and its twin-LED flash is MUCH brighter than the G900. It only lacks the macro mode so you won't be able to take closeups of insects during their mating season!!! LOL! I didn't care about the EXTREMELY limited wi-fi coverage as compared to the extensive GSM network coverage either.

I have gone ahead and bought a G700 Business Edition (no camera).

To me, the G700 BE looks more professional than the G700. I do realize that I lost the opportunity to make video calls.

I have also hacked the phone with CapsSwitch and InstallServer.exe so that no more hazzle to sign any 3rd party applications.

I have the following 3rd party apps installed:
HandySafe
Aquacalendar
Flying Money
Lubisoft Automobile

I am already feeling at home after only 3 days of having changed my phone from PalmOS to Symbian UIQ3 for the first time.
