Hi guys, getting a new phone to replace my crappy k610i.

I've read many good things about both phones, and from what I've seen of the camera shots from both phones, the G700 is better. Also, it is much newer than k850, which is always a bonus.

Does anyone have any opinions/advice?

Thanks!!!

If you are tinking about K850, then go for the C902.
Less problem with FW and better build quality, witch is superb !
Also the C902's camera is better is you looking for this.

The G700 use the Symbian UIQ, ok if you NEED the functions, but if you just want a just a phone then go for the A200 platform.
I've had the P800, P900 and the P990, right now i dont want to go back to UIQ. Itīs ok but the A200 platform do the job as "just a phone" better.

Also my friends G900 is quite sloooow.

My advice, go for the C902 or C702 !

Why are you guys trying to include a phone he doesn't mentioned?

go for G700, much better imo, no BROD, better camera (yes it's fixed focus, but no PF, red-to-pink and etc) and has better looks.

I was considering the C902 too, its a little more expensive but ok. Does anyone know if the G700 is slower interface wise than other non-UIQ phones? I remember my gfs phone got slower when she had heaps of SMS messages..

Thanks for your suggestions so far!

K850i hands down. C902, smaller screen, crappy speaker. G700 is just stupid. If your going to get any of the G range let it be one higher then that.

The G700 is good enough if you're on a budget and if you need push email, otherwise go for the K850.

IMHO, neither one cuts the mustard.

I'd suggest increasing your budget a wee bit and focusing on either the highly recommended C902 or very good G900.

The K850's front looks horrid while the G700's rear looks like the lid of a soap box.

Id get the G700, it has a 2.4inch screen, Symbian UIQ3, and its a lot more versatile. I'd always choose the smartphone, my K850 hardly gets switched on, im always using my N81.
If you want a phone just for calls, text and pics then get K850 but if you want all that plus decent Web browsing, full Multitasking, push email, Document editor/reader,movie watching etc. . . Then get G700

If you want a decent phone with good camera and some java gaming (music and etc...) you can go for the K850 (although I hate it's bugs and firmware issues)... The G700 is smartphone. It's totally different than the K850. I don't know fi you are addicted to nonsmartphones or smartphones so it would be the best to try both phones before buying one.
