Migrating my phonebook |

I have a new Sony E51. My old phone was a Sony Eriksson W810i. Most of my phonebook contacts are stored on the SIM, but I keep noticing that quite a lot of them aren't, so I presume they were stored on the old phone (which still works).
What would be the quickest and easiest way to get the contacts from my old phone onto my new phone?
Many thanks for your help, experts! |

Use PC Suite to synch your contacts with your Outlook email.
VERY easy, but you need to use Outlook - could be an issue. |

Thanks very much for your reply, Juniji. I appreciate the suggestion.
I don't have Microsoft Outlook on my computer. I use Mozilla Thunderbird for my email and stuff.
Is there an alternative to that idea, please? |

E51 do you mean Nokia's E51 because Sony Eircsson never made a phone called that. What you do is, put the sim card back into your old phone, and then do this:
Contacts >Options>Advanced>Copy to Sim then take the simcard back out pop it into your new phone and do the same process at the start but instead of clicking Copy to Sim click Copy from Sim
Hope that is what you meant. |
