the cheapest possible wifi phone will have a really crap camera - so if Camera is also important you are going to have to compromise and pay a little extra (or put up with a really crap camera)
Something like a HTC Dual is pretty cheap, has WM6.1, wifi and a reasonable 2MP non-AF camera (not as good as W910, K610 etc but still usable)

Cheapest Wi-Fi phones: NOKIA E51, N81, and HTC Touch.

Are you talking about the Touch Dual? Cause that doesnt have Wi-Fi.

The Samsung i780 has wifi, it's in a similiar price range as HTC Touch

You can pick up an SE P1i over here now for about 120 second hand, pretty good for a decent camera, and WiFi.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

P1 is the cheapest wifi phone with good cam. If you want a cheaper option, go for nokia e51. Premium handset priced lower than p1 but cam is non AF

And don't forget, P990 is definitely cheaper than P1(plus larger screen for browsing), and has arguably better camera, too(despite being 'only' 2mp)......

go for e51 if only average non AF 2MP camera but it has got a good s60 web browser. wifi is 802.11g only.
go for the p1i. has a more decent camera but costs more than the e51.
given the two, i'd rather go for the p1 with it's features. |

The E51 has both wi-fi 802.11b and g. The P1 only has b.
Yes go for the E51, it has a very fast UI, great Web browser with Flash content support, great battery life, TONS AND TONS of useful software and games if you want some entertainment, its only letdown is the camera but otherwise great phone and brilliant build quality.

If you're into sliders, check out the N80. It has less RAM (64MB vs 96MB in the E51) and uses miniSD but it's much cheaper (~$220 brand new vs ~$280 for the E51) and has a better cam with flash to boot.

Problem with N80 is that its a bit old, has a slow UI and awful battery life, trust me i know, i had one.
