Hi All,
I have just bought a couple of new BST-38 batteries off ebay, the problem i am having is that when i connect the charger the phone comes up with an error message...'Alien battery' followed by 'stop charging!' any idea what causes this?

Those are fake batteries, if you ever get the message Alien Battery then that battery is fake and dangerous to use. |

oops, the one does have the sony hologram on but unfortunatly both show the same message :0( what damage can they do?

Can't think of any serious damage to your phone but on other brands they can explode...
Not as big as a bomb though but you can imagine those battery pops while you are texting or receiving a call?
