Nokia Faces Threat From Counterfeit Manufacturers
Counterfeiters raise stakes with Nokia Arte rip-offs
Nokia faces a new fight as counterfeit manufacturers up the quality of their replica devices in time for the launch of the manufacturer’s most expensive phones.
Distributors and dealers who have seen the latest fakes have raised their concerns about the difficulty of telling them apart from the originals.
The most recent fakes to surface are the £700 Nokia Arte Sapphire and the new £500 Nokia N96 which, according to sources, are already ‘flooding the market’.
Counterfeit models of both phones are being sold for £200 to UK dealers.

Lol, I guess it's safe to say counterfeits have reached the level of the real thing...It's time to start suing...

There have chinese counterfeit phones going for ages but they have been very easy to spot (suny ericssson )
This looks like a new breed of counterfeit altogether. I mean what would you do if you found you you just laid out £400 for a N96 to discover it was fake?

That's why it's best to buy from authorised retailers. If you discover it's a fake then you stand an excellent chance of redressing the situation. Not that they would carry fakes, but...

the country's who allow such counterfits should be punissed.
if they don't act against those company's, they should be forced to pay for the loss of the original phone makers.
Fake products don't have the same quality, and or in some cases dangerous. The people who make does products don't care about life, they only care about money. The most effective way to get rid of those parasites is a bullet.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |
