People just share your experience on unlocking your mobile. what kind of ways followed to unlock it and how to find weather its permanent unlock or temporary unlock. Also which method or tool is efficient and cost effective way. Just discuss more on this to help users struggling to unlock their mobiles.
I started this topic bec i just got a k770i on virgin but i couldn't unlock it because its cid53 so i tried so many forum but i didn't get the answer. But today i got it unlocked from a shop and i asked them to do a permanent unlock. They did that with some extra money and gave me t assurance that its permanent unlock. But i don't know they are true. I have to try a reflash to find. And is there any way to deferenciate between permanent/temporary unlock ? Reply of asap |

i have a vodafone branded K800 and i have to apply a sim-lock patch every time i flash the phone.
in the 'service info' > 'software info' in the EROM section it says something like FOTA_SIMLOCK_FLA. i have a generic FW on my phone. what can i do to fully de-brand my phone so i dont have to apply the patch every time i flash it?

Use a 3rd party flashes like davinciteam or totalgsm to unlock your phone permanently. Unfortunately its not free but it will solve your problems.
