Hello,

Im just looking for some general advice on my situation.

I have been with o2 for 4+ years and last Oct i started an 18 month contract which is £20 p/m for 500mins/ 1000 sms with a K850i.

I am looking to change my phone to an iPhone as soon as possible but doubt that o2 will let me change with 6months contract still to go.

What would be your advice?

thanks

The only option you've got is wait until your contract is due to renewal in 5 months time.

Word of advice, don't do it.

Your tariff is very good value for what you're paying, if you go for an iPhone they will offer you absolutely ZERO discount off the tariff price. For example, if you wanted the 600 minutes 500 texts tariff, you'd end up paying £35/month.

Bottom line is, because you've been with O2 for so long, they've given you heavy discounts, but they are NOT allowed to discount the iPhone, so you'd end up paying full price. You may as well get a good deal from them, and get a better phone.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.
