Hi everyone !

Newbe question :

- Since my K750i got stolen >:(
, I bought another, second hand, sent via post.

It was really scratchy, but the most important problem is :

IT DOESN'T CONNECT WITH MY PC !

http://tinyurl.com/4uu4sp

I was able to transfer some files to the PC via "PC Suite" which is a standalone program,
BUT
the usual Windows EXPLORER , that I always used with my dear stolen K750i ,
couldn't find and/or communicate with this K750i at all...

QUESTION:

Is the "new" K750i definitely defective ? Or am I missing something ?

Can I do something to test it further ? ( I have no idea.. like pressing 'C' or what ?)

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated !

If this one is defect, then I have to reuturn it to the seller, demand my money back, and all that hazzle...

Thanks in advance !

Cheers!

P.S. This is a Great site here !

Check if the connector of the phone is clean and there is good contact between the phone and the PC. You have to install the drivers for the phone in order to transfer files. Also to transfer files directly with Windows Explorer you have to have the memory stick inserted in the phone as the K750's internal memory can't be opened with Windows Explorer directly...

You can try using MPE (My Phone Explorer) also, which can be found here:

THANKS "strizlow800" !

I used MyPhoneExplorer many times with the previoous ( now stolen ) K750i.
Of course , I've still got the USB connection cable , and all the other accessories you get in the box from new.
And of course , my PC is still configured with the original software (drivers) for S-E K750i that came in the box from new.

* When I tried MPE with this "new" 750, I couldn't access "Files".

* The bottom connector of the handset was meticulously cleaned, but no change

* Original Ringtones and Themes are missing ( and instead there's a silly animated background Theme w butterflys )

- Could this be a phone that's been flashed, and then reverted partially, or something like that ?

Any input is appreciated.
Tanks in advance !
