Hi guys,
I know this should go in the C902 discussion thread but i need some answers/opinions fairly soon so i know whether the phone is faulty and whether to send it back or not.
Had a brand new C902 delivered yesterday and ive got a few issues with it, just wondering if its just my phone, common faults or me being picky.
1. Battery cover- This is almost impossible to remove, me and 5 of my friends have tried to get it off and without practically ripping it off it just wont slide off and because we have spent so long lifting it up it now doesnt sit flush.
2. Poor reception - with my old k800 i had pretty good reception where ever i was but in only a day i have noticed such a huge decrease in recption leading to me missing calls.
I think also related to the reception issue is the 'H' symbol, i can be sending a text on my phone and in the space of about 2 minutes it can pop up and disappear about 5 times without me having even moved.
3. Lag - I expected the phone to be alot faster than the k800 but if anything it seems alot slower and if i goto fast i have to give it chance to catch up, especially when sending, reading and deleting text messages |

If you are experiencing lag and other software issues, you may need a firmware update of the phone. Try using SEUS to update your C902 firmware to the latest.

The first line in the opened app is the firmware version.

battery cover doesn't "slide" out - it lifts up.Near the SE logo is a small cut
out. Put a finger nail in there and pry the cover up. It should pivot around
the silver band.
the H is for hsdpa and only shows when there is high speed data
connections available so shouldn't affect reception. you could try setting
your phone to gsm only and see if it does affect the reception.
I reject your reality and substitute my own. |

Cheers glorfingal,
from the description in the manual it seemed that it was telling me to lift the battery cover up slighty and then push it so that it slid out, i was worried about just lifting it straight up incase it broke.
I knew that was what the 'H' symbol stood for but the fact that my phone could be completely still and it could come and go lead me to think i might have dodgy reception, i will try using gsm only and see if it has any effect |

the H (and e for that matter) can come and go even when the phone is
sat still. it's indicating the "Availability" of the data link so you'll get this
in poorer reception areas where you phone will be able to get HSDPA then
it wont, then it will and so on ...... |

about the reception is because the antenna is located in the bottom/middle of the phone.
When you hold it in your hand you will block reception and it will get even worse at more sensitive at places where it is already bad
very disappointing, same with W902, you will have to live with it.
make your calls upsidedown
