Hahaha, I get the feeling those tricks won't work here matey, cause Vodafone's network is pretty secure! You'll notice that often those tricks only work in less developed countries that often don't have very advanced networks. NZ's network is pretty advanced. The only trick I know is that sometimes when you're low on credit (like maybe 20c to 50c), you can browse for ages cause it doesn't charge you straight away. I used to do that heaps, but to be honest, it lost it's appeal a bit when Vodafone realised I had downloaded about 1GB of stuff (by attaching my phone to my laptop) and they canceled my number. At the time 1GB on a prepay sim card was $10000 of internet, so no wonder.

Anyway, I get the feeling that Vodafone may have stopped this from being possible when they recently introduced the new $1 for 10MB prepay data rates. So maybe this post isn't all that helpful...

I know there used to be a way, my friend tryied to do it but he failed. The next time I asked him to try he said that the new pricing had stuffed it up, but I still think there could be a way.

Edit: well i can tell you one thing: your strategy works, but for how long, I dont know

Edit2: 5 seconds
