I agree with WOAOW's request to ESATO admins for a special "Bugs and Improvement page" for the P800, or why not take it all the way and make a special "P800 discussion page" inside this forum.
This phone is new on the market and we new (lucky) P800 owners has a lot of features to discuss.
Also, maybe this way ESATO and it's users can contribute/motivate SE developers and 3'rd party software developers even more.
I'm sure some of them surf these web-pages for ideas and feed-back. If not: at least some of us could terrorize SE and SW-developers once a week with mail containing link to this page.
PS: It also would be easier to overview P800 related topics using wap.

i think this would be a good idea; the p800 is a great new product and deserves it's own space. plus, as a non-p800 owner, i'm bored of reading about it  |

Thanx. My idea of a \"survey\" is especially to help developers and SE to gather QUICKLY the result of so many post and threads about bugs & improvements. Everyone will win from this. On another topic, if we want a special P800 section in the forum, we shall also have one for T68, T39,... which I think is a lot of work and then perhaps with a lower priority. Esato Admins, any comment ?? By the way, congratulations for having taken out this bloody 55 caracters limitation for a P800 post !! Thanx...

Hmm.. About the character limit, I still have it, sometimes, sometimes not. Any ideas? Anyone else experience that?

I think you should make a new section for p800.
The posts about p800 take all the space in the other forums.
That's better for everyone.
No need to make new sections for other SE phones. If we can get rid of the p800 posts, we will do just fine

All of this has been suggested before, when the T68 hit the shelves. I agree with your concern but then there would have to be a forum for all the other SE phones as well... WOW! Poor Laffen!

when the initial buzz dies down, the P800 and non-P800 forums could be merged again (and the P800 forum be renamed to P900, or T69, or whatever next big thing is on the horizon).. i don't want to make work for the mod, i'm a mod myself (on a slightly smaller scale), but i think this makes good sense and would be better for everyone. |

Again, the most important feature is the synthesis of most annoying bugs and most wanted features... We will all gain from that and this will add the biggest value for esato site for SE's eyes.
For others who are annoyed by P800 posts : it's written @90% "P800" in the title, so just don't read the post...

Yes, thats the point.
When a new SE phone make a hit in the market, the "mod" can tell by the amount of post on this site and decide when its time to make its own page.....or replace the last hit, who will be merged back with the rest of Esato forum.
I'm sure many of the non-P800 users will agree. At this point it must be irritating scanning this site for other SE-related topics (especially using Wap). If they should be interested in reading reviews/topics about P800 they could navigate in to this section.
I disagree with @tranquil about each phone having its own forum.
Yes, T68 should have had its own section because it was the main discussion on the forum at the time, but now it would have been replaced with a P800 section. Agree?
P800 users:
Is it just me and @woaow, who has views on this topic? Is this not of interest for other P800 users?
PS: The next time a new and more advanced SE-product is announced, i'm sure it will be the same people (P800-users today) who will be hunting the first products to hit the marked. It will be the same people discussing this new product on Esato, taking up space for other SE-users. I just discovered Esato one month ago, and as a earlier T68-user (my first ericsson) i have read most of the topics about T68 and P800 discussed here. It seems to me that many of you are like me; gadget-freak almost no mather the cost. We have to have the lates and best and preferable a SE-product! Am i right? |
