Hey chaps and ladies,

Had my c902 flashed 2 weeks ago by Sony Ericsson due to the three software messing up.

All working fine but.....

today it decided that all my txt messages would load from the bottom, upwards!?!
e.g, when you press message inbox, the newest message is highlighted normally, but now the newest message is the last one on the list.

Also the call lists/message name lists are all over the place!
when I phone someone, normally their name would be first on the list when pressing 'call'. but now it could be anywhere in the list (it's not even in alphebetical order!)

and the message name list

eg, when you send a txt message, normally the last person you sent to would be the top of the list, but now it could be anywhere!

I know it's only little things but it's damn annoying when trying to re-dial someone.

thanks for any replies

Darren

Well, I don't know what is causing that but you can still backup your phone and then delete all messages and the whole phonebook.

Perhaps the character encoding or date format has changed in the newer firmware. It's not likely to happen but who knows?

Give it a try

Try reloading the messages in the phone. Backup all of them with MPE (My Phone Explorer), delete them from phone and then restore the backup file... t may work for you.

That program rocks!

I will not know fully if it has worked until tomorrow when I use it properly, but the call list seems to have sorted itself out.

what I did notice was that the messages which were all in the wrong place from today were deleted when I did a backup of the phone.
All the older messages are there, just the messed up ones!?!?

Guess there was a problem with them.

Will post tomorrow on what the outcome is

thanks again

Hehe we all know MPE (My phone explorer) rocks. That is the best program for contacts, messages and calendar (even file) management for phones. It has great and very useful options which even the standard sony ericsson pc suite lacks.

P.S. Waiting to see your result.

ok then chaps,

had all weekend using the phone and.... All is well!

I had to delete my call lists but now it is all in order and txt name list is back to normal.

Only problem I had was on friday morning the alarm was going off but not making any noise, the screen flashed saying 'alarm' then after a while was going into snooze mode but wouldn't vibrate or make a noise. Tried a music file and this didn't work either, restarted the phone and all was well again

Apart from that it is all working again.

Thanks for all the help
