P1i inbox folder is corrupted!!!! |

hi, my p1i message inbox folder is corrupted and i got this message just when opneing the inbox folder. the message is (corrupt) but when sorting messages by type or sender i can browse 80% of messages... any ideas ??!! btw im thinking that a master reset can solve this but am afride that all mods and messages will be deleted !!

Yes. It will return your phone to normal (as it was when you bought it) so you will have to apply all mods again.

Well you know, it's a bit difficult to install everything again. Use MyPhoneExporer to backup data btw and see if it can open inbox to save the messages to your pc.
P.S. I had to do 20+ master resets during to my research with the G900 and BeiBei's media center porting to P1. Still working on it.

i don't like to use such progrmes cause i feel there is sth missing when do a backup ... i think my p1i needs a new software cause i face the same things u faced by porting skins and apps from different OSs so its time for a new SW. thanx for your help. |

Fell I know how's the feeling. You always think the backup wasn't complete... I also experience this sometimes  . Anyway, for new software you can update with SEUS.

Actually a mess happened with my K800 (K810) software and it's fake M2 card. All applications and games on memory stick got corrupted from nothing, suddenly... The delete option wasn't working. Even formatting the card and master reset the phone didn't work. So had to reflash it. And it had soooo many patches, elfs and drivers in it...

Well the memory i use is the orginal one ... But the message appeared after a message from a friend of mine ... And we were chating... And if i have 1% doubt that he knows about mobile phones then i should kill him :@ but i know that he knows nothing, lol . So i think its sth happened after installing the mcleaner sounds like mclaren lol i.e. A conflict happend between this app and the p1i's message app or cause i have alot of messages ..or old messages..a year or more. Actully i dono and i wont bother my self to know cause the P1i is the last Uiq phone !!! |

Well don't know about you, but I never had such experience with my P1... Anyway, it may be the last UIQ phone, but we have WM family from  born... The X1 and also new WM models should be coming... Windows Mobile should be better than UIQ (at least for bugs).

And for this i'll start make a complete analysis for Windows mobile lol. Witing to know from users of the X1i and how it works in the real life then sor sure im ganna bye one.

Well I will keep my p1 a bit longer... After it's time I would think about getting X1... I also want to see what will people say about it's performance and reliability. Bugs and etc... It's the first phone running WM so I'm afraid of bugs. If the phone is going well and it's price drops in time, I will have hard time choosing between this and the C905...

X1 isnt just going to be using WM they have said that already the line up of Xperia range has been hinted for uiq in the future
