yah, i think the class files got corrupted when i edited them in notepad because they are encrypted. where i can i get that jdk software? i tried downloading netbeans and jcreator but it does not open the jar files. can you help me? i know there is a software that can be used because i have seen some people who were able to edit applications.

@masseur: do you know any software that i can use to open and edit jar files? i'm editing jar files on notepad but it always get corrupted if i'm gonna edit the class files. no problem when only editing the manifest.mf file. any recommendations?

I'm a developer but its been a few years since I've done java seriously, but if I remember correctly, I'd suggest that you consider that maybe you have edited a signed jar file and therefore probably corrupted the checksums which I think are stored in the manifest

I'm really quite rusty but this might give some clues

@masseur: i'm actually a programmer as well but i haven't created jar files before. i have knowledge on java, c++, vb and php&mysql. but i just don't know how to create jar files.
