I've seen this questions asked a few times but nobody really answered it. I want to remove a shortcut icon, not replace it, I want it to become like it was when there wasnt anything linked to it, like when it says "new" above it. Anyone know howto do that without master resets, reflashing or other big actions. Maybe editing some file on the phone will do the trick? I'm sure others also want to know howto do this.
Thanks guys (and gals).

Hmm have seen this thread since it was posted... Tried to find a way but nothing... Maybe running the setup wizard can help you sorting this one... Not sure btw... It is not worth to do whole master reset just for this purpose btw.

Yeah it seems they forgot to add a remove option, edit and replace but no remove. Seems it is still on the newer uiq3 phones as well.

Then if you link it to something like control panel you're stuck with that icon being used until you do a master reset, you can only replace it with another icon

Well i fear it is like that... I can't delete the shortcut. Not at least on my p1... But doesn't annoy me at all, as I use all shortcut places. They are full with icons in my phone so I find them useful.

Well I am tidy too. I want my phone to be very clean outside and also inside. The software, files, all are sorted carefuly one by one.

I don't want my phone to feel like working on a public computer... everything messed up and on wrong place...

But the shortcut icons stuff doesn't annoy me as I don't have the need to delete them... I use them all the time so I change them when I have need. Otherwise, I lose nothing if the icons just, stay there...
