LG KC780, seems to be an el cheapo 8mp offering, very much like the current 5mp KC550, i.e with no 3G etc but with the focus (pun?) on the camera abilities:

What's the point of a "cheap" 8MP phone? I mean, that many MP is for enthusiasts, I presume. Why'd someone get a cheapo version?

Because some people love to have good cameras on their phones, and they cant afford a Viewty and such. Its not always about the rich folks you know

I quite like its appearance actually. It will be better when we see some higher quality shots though.
