Hi !

Any had experience of service with HTC?

My TyTn II charger packed up 29th of last month, so I contact HTC and get a case number etc, and send the charger to them.

10 days later, get an email invoice, saying my phone was faulty and damage/ misuse is outside of warranty..

DT01 Replacing Battery 1 £12.95 £12.95
S29 Labour 1 £22.00 £22.00
Subtotal £34.95
VAT(17.5%) £6.12
Balance Due £41.07

So rather than pay and claim for a repaired TyTn II , which is still in my hand, I call them. ............

Now on my 7th call. On the second call, they claimed I sent a non-HTC charger.

Eventually they send another invoice -

A15 Replacing Charger 1 £9.95 £9.95
Subtotal £9.95
VAT(17.5%) £1.74
Balance Due £11.69

claiming my charger shows signs or abuse or misuse.

Strange because it was always used in the same plug point same room !

Today, when I call, I get their message 'office closed and re-opens at 9.00am - Central European Time..... it is 9.15 am now.

Anyone else experience crap like that ?

Hi masseur,

This morning, I spoke to a different office and they were embarrassed by what has happened. for example, I should never have been asked to send in the charger, I should also have been taken through tests with usb etc to elinate a phone problem, ,,, and so it went on..

HTC even claimed, on the fourth call, that the charger that I sent was not a HTC original charger.......

Got some good contacts now and it is hoped that I should receive a replacement charger very soon.

Then the man on the phone said " have you considered upgrading to a HTC Touch HD ? "
