Yes, you can do that . You can do that weather on your phone or your computer

All you have to do, is :
- make your system folder visible by using any java file browser no the phone, or ( show hidden folders ) on the computer.
-Browse to system/ ams.
- copy all the jar and jad files you want.

Note, if you're using the last firmware you might not be able to send the jar files with bluetooth(in case you'd like to send a game to anyone)

Then try doing it with the computer. Forget not to remove the simples $,or# after the the extanction(.jar$). I've experanced the same prob with the new cid(53), this method did work with k800 with the cid53. i'm not sure about the w910,but you could give it a shot.
Good luck

The computer method
has never worked on K800 or W910 at all AFAIK. I started with a K800 CID51, upgraded to CID52 (still CID52) and this trick has never worked since the K750.

When you copy the .jar.# file to the computer via a card reader, and remove the .# so that it just has the jar extension, it cannot be opened with winrar which normally will open jar files. This indicates the .jar.# files are encrypted.

If you then try and send the file to the phone the phone says "application invalid" (a jar file sent via BT to a phone will normally get installed on the phone)

(the jar.s files are zero bytes so obviously they are not the java apps)

The Moby Explorer method
works on the K800, but not on the W910. On the W910 the "ams" folder in the system folder is not accessible via java. Neither mini commander nor moby explorer can open the ams folder.

On the K800, you can use moby explorer to copy the .jar file to the others folder - from there you can send it via bluetooth to other phones.

1. In Moby Explorer, you need to select the e:\\system folder then change the properties and untick "hidden"
2. Then go into system, then go into ams, find the jar file you want to backup and copy and paste it to the other folder

Note: the .# is not visible when viewing the ams folder via moby explorer. For example viewing the ams folder on a computer or via card reader and the game file will be called something.jar.# in moby explorer it will just be called something.jar

Max,
What firmware are you using exactlly ?
I won't argue with someone who is in the forum since 2004 and has over 500posts . But i've have been doing this over one year both methods worked with my k800.
I had one problem with firmware r8, then i couldn't browse into the ams folder using either minicommendor or moby.so did this, i use minicommendor to make the folder system invisible and than go to the file manager on the phone and browse to ams. Could back up all my games and apps but not send them via bt.than i renamed them on the computer.till the day befor yesterday i had more than 500mb games and apps on the memory card(got lost two days ago).
Other trick i use, install the apps on the phone memory, and than browse tpa-present-system-ams.(there is a patch for that) and copy!!
100% working.
