Hey guys, i m trying to back up my W960i, so i installed PC Suite from sonyericsson website. When i install it, at first it says FAILED TO LOAD RESOURCES. but it continues to install until it stopped at Please specify the folder where vcredist.msi.

Do i need to look for that file and it will be ok? Btw, i tried it on my vista ultimate x64 sp1 and XP pro sp3, and both having the same problem.

Yes, there is such a problem in the latest version of PC Suite.

I encountered the same a few days ago while installing it for my P1i.

The installation requires a file, which is obviously missing.

I did a search and found the same file by chance in a folder (C:\Toshiba\Drivers\DVDPlayer.... etc.) which is being created by the recovery cd of my notebook.

I tried it and the installer accepted the file (hung for a while at that stage though).

Had same experience as myth®. Downloaded a copy of the vcredist.msi installer (from rapidshare) and then the PC Suite installation completed successfully and I have done a synch with my P990i.
