I just recieved my w980i and in a video review the reviewer clearly showed and mentioned the w980i can play the radio without the headset attached. I obviously gave it a try and all faild with a "insert headset prompt". Anyone know if this feature was removed in the final product?

Yeah unfortunately it was removed in the final product mate. The video reviewer's phone must be a prototype. I don't know why they removed it, but they have.

guess ill just have cut up an old headset cable...
Also do you know if the fm transmitter region restriction is related to the firmware region, or if its network region related.

I am not sure. My guess would be firmware region, but I wouldn't count on that. Maybe someone else can confirm.

The transmitter is region based.Some phojnes have their transmitters stripped off coz they are not allowed in some countries. |
