Hi, I got my K850i in May, second hand, and I really want to update to the latest firmware, as the version I have currently is the vodafone first version. If I did update it using SEUS would it bebrand it too? Also what can go wrong? I have the software on my computer and can do it, but when ever I am free to do it, there is something stopping me, I am really worried. Should I be? What's the best way to prevent the problems etc. Thanks for the help, (sorry I guess I suffer from hypochondria )

Hi, If ur phone is CID52 i wouldn't recommend updating with SEUS as it will update to CID53 which means limited modding. Updating phones/modding does carry an element of risk but if u follow the good advice on this forum u really cant in wrong. I cant post any links cos im on me phone but there are top tuts here to guide you.

the poster has K850i which cant be modded any how i recommend u use totalgsm or da vinci services to do a debranding (meaning getting rid of vodafone FW) this allows u to recieve the latest software update as released by SOny instead of Voda.
things that can go wrong...if ur comp shuts down halfway through update u might brick ur phone but thats about all i noe wen using SEUS.
good luck

Firmware: R1CA029

Something else...

I don't really care about Modding all I want is the R1FA035, and if possible no Vodafone branding. Will SEUS debrand it, or will I have to use Davini(SP)?

Also if it did get bricked during the process can't I just redo again?

Thanks

Seus will update it on the latest Vodafone firmware, it will NOT debrand it , youll have to use davinci.

It wont get bricked, as its easy to reflash 'dead phones' so yeah you can redo it again

OK Thanks, is Davinci the cheapest? It's like 8.45 Pounds...I have no money just now, so I'll have to save up XD.

I feel a little more confident now.
