Hi all,
In January of this year, i purchased a sony ericsson w580i on an orange 18 month contract from a 3rd party online store.
After a couple of months, the keys on the keyboard started to crack, so, i took the phone in to my local carphone warehouse, as i know they will repair phones for free aslong as they are still under warranty.
After a week or so, i got my phone back with the keys replaced, however now one of the buttons had stopped working! so i again took the phone to be repaired.
This time, i got the phone back and the key still was not working, so i asked for a replacment handset. this would be fine the engineer said, it will be sent up within 2-3 days
After a week i contacted him, asking when i would get my phone, unfortunately, they were out of stock, so i had to wait another few weeks lol.
I did eventually recieve a replacement phone (same model) but the keys have all cracked on this one aswel.
I went into the carphone warehouse to ask if i could get a different phone model as a replacement, but he said it would have had to be within a month of the last repair (which mine was not), and they couldnt try to repair it again yet because the engineer is on holiday for a few weeks.
So (at last) i was wondering where i can go from here, is it worth contacting sony ericsson for a replacement? has anyone had any success withthis in the past?
All help is much appreciated
