Latest firmware is the best. It has less bugs and more reliability when using the phone... And about charging, I always charge the phone during the night. Never got any problems with overcharging or whatever.

Fake, old and long time no used batteries may result in having short running time. Try charging the battery fully (to 100%) and draining it to 0% then. Repeat that process 3 or 4 times and see what happens.

that method doesn't really apply to lithium batteries. It sounds like the battery needs replacing.

you can give a try with someone else's battery. if you see that the battery lasts longer than yours.....

3G eats up battery life like a monster. But in some places, though I didnt search for networks, it just pops up, and there goes about 5% of my battery.

Can this be disabled or something?

it can be disabled...go to setting, connectivity, mobile networks, there is 3G/GSM option, chose GSM only.
