hi guys, im getting overflow error when trying to copy phone contacts into a 3G sim card and it seems to be the phone's operating system itself at fault.

my phone is a sony ericsson p1i. on R9K009 firmware.

these are done with more than 30/all contacts :

1. i tried copying my contacts from phone to sim, 'overflow' error.
2. i tried another sim card on the phone, 'overflow' error.
3. i tried moving my sim card into my k800, copy all contacts to sim, success.

the verdict is...UIQ itself at fault?? you guys not having this prob? i got the latest firmware btw.

Try copying all contacts to MPE (My Phone Explorer). Export whole phonebook as 1 file and send it to your p1. It should copy them like that.

Have you tried looking in the Sony Ericsson Support section?

But I can't move contacts from phone to my 3G sim card with MPE. How would i be able to transfer contacts between different phones? to Nokia for example?

Anyone of you tried this with your 3G sim card? Try copying more than 20-30 contacts at one go to your sim card, and you will get an overflow error that prevents all contacts to be copied. (on R9K009 )
