If you don't care about the camera, then the W910i is a worthy upgrade to your old phone. The complaints about it mostly extend from when it was new and most of those problems gave now been fixed. Just make sure you update the software on it when you get it and it will be completely fine!

Yeah mate I have it and the music quality is fine. Quite good for a phone. I cant compare it to a W810i though, because I've never tried one. But I'd say the W910i has better quality because it is newer and its headphones are very very good.
If you have the latest firmware, then you shouldn't have any problems. Even if you do have restarts they would be very very occasional and not at all a bother. I don't think that's very likely anyway!
I don't know much about the Samsung, but if you like the SE's interface better then go for it! I'd recommend it to anybody.

It's about the same. Also, the headphones that come with the W910 are the same as those that come with the W810 - ie: HPM-70.
They are quite good, comparable to Sony EX71's (which they are based on)

That's okay, no bother.
I don't know whether people are just exaggerating things or not, all I can say is my own W910 doesn't have as many problems as some complain about.
There are bugs in mine; occasionally if I have the media player maximised for 20-30 minutes or more, the activity menu button stops working until I restart the phone. Also the media player update feature has stopped working, but I think thats more to do with a having flashed my MAIN without also flashing the FS. I'm going to do a full re-flash and see what happens.
It's still possible to add new tracks to playlists, which is the only way I listen to music anyway. And I can watch videos and pictures via the file manager since I don't need auto-rotate that much (occasionally it would be handy).
I've had two other bugs. Twice in the 4 weeks I've had the phone the screen wouldn't wake up from the blank power save mode until I held the power button. About 2-3 times the phone has locked up for 10 seconds or so before continuing (and doing all the key presses I made when it wasn't responding).
Other than the above I haven't had any other troubles. I use the phone for various purposes probably about 2-3hrs a day, more sometimes. So I think that's good averages. My only real complaint is the media player update failure, but I can get by with that. Hopefully a reflash will sort that out.
Audio quality is about the same as my W800 (actually a K750 flashed with W800 firmware), and you can pretty much class K750, W800 and W810 as the same hardware. They all had much the same in the way of audio drivers too.

I never had the W810i, but indeed the W910i is a very nice phone
was one of the best phones i've ever used, specially after upgrading to the latest software.

I have had w800, W810, W200, W910, P990.
W800, w810 has best sound quality & camera, Speakerphone
W910 Sound quality thru earphones will be disappointing coming from W810. &
Speakers is not good Compared to w810, Camera is unusable
I had restarts with phone sometimes.
I just bought the phone because it looks good & has nice screen.
The keypad is flat, But u might get used to
the phone is fragile & has to be handled carefully compared to w810.
The phone menu is too slow while using stereo bluetooth headset
The 2.4 inch screen is one thing i like compared to w890, w760 & w980
Having said Technical expert would like to suggest W980 for best sound quality(Flip), or W760(slider) or w890(candybar) for stability & build quality.
& w910 for great screen & ease of use & stylish looks
I hope this posts makes you help u get a step further in deciding your phone
Best Regards,

I agree mostly with that. In my case I don't find the audio quality to be that much different however you are dead right about the external speakers, which are pretty aweful.
I also find that the W910 is one of the best 2MP non-AF I've used. Sure it's doesn't compare in flexibility to the the AF w810 camera, but as a non-AF camera the W910 is well usable. I like it actually and still find I use it quite a bit.
I will be happy though when the C905 comes out and I have AF back.

Well I don't like the W910 camera, but it sound quality on headphones isn't that bad imo... I havent used it for a long time, but the hours I spent playing with it, it was great.

it's just as good as other 2mp except without AF. Subjects further away than 50cm or so are focussed well enough. Colour is good. I like it
Sure it doesn't have AF, sometimes this is a big disadvantage, but it can still take some nice shots, certainly good enough for family outings, holiday snaps etc.
