I know it requires same firmware version and phone type between the patches and the phone, but does it also requires the same CID and region?
I'm speaking about db1010 patching btw.
Cause some of the patches makers say that region and cid dont matter. Some say they do matter.
As for example in topsony, they always differentiate cid36 and cid49 patches. Doesnt it mean cid matters?
So which one is actually true? The fact about this matter is so biased for me.
I've never succeeded patching my cid49 k750 and could it be because of the difference of the cid and region, or only cid or region?
I've once patched my phone with the correct FW and region but my phone became dead. Fortunately i can reflash the MAIN. Then i asked the patches makers if the patches are which cid and region but they say it doesnt matter. Do they really doesnt matter? Then why i always failed patching.
*guess maybe this topic is only in db1010 context*

patch has to match the same phone model and firmware version. i read somewhere else that CID version doesnt matter. i think it was den_po who said that.
i'll struggle a bit about it as im not 100% sure

Exactly... So don't use patch for other firmware versions and phone models. That will contain patch lenghts missmatch and may harm your phone.

Thanks for the reply. Just want to confirm again, does firmware version include "region" as well?
Cause some says you have to find exactly the same firmware and also region. For example you can't use R1BC002 APAC if your phone's FW is R1BC002 EMEA6. Is that true? Or you can?

The only thing that matters here's the firmware version. Of course, we dont have to say that it must be the same model phone.
