Are you using the battery the phone came with?

Is it original?

yeah it should be. Fake accessories and batteries may cause problems of every kind.

Check your nearest store. The battery shouldn't be expensive that much.

I have Sony Ericsson K800i and since I got my phone, the battery life only lasts for less than 24 hours even if I'm not using it or just normal usage. Do you think it is a problem on the phone or with battery? I haven't tried using a different battery. If I'm going to buy a new battery, what do you suggest for Sony Ericsson K800i? Thanks in advance!

I also noticed charg ing from 10% to about 75% takes about 5 minutes. Its rocket fast. But when there's just the smallest amount to scroll, like 90% to battery full, it takes ages! Why is this so? Its like optimized charging only applies during 4/5 of the charging cycle.

Because when it goes to 70% you have the percentage but not the real capacity of the battery. For full charge you got to wait until it is 100%.

battery gauges aren't very accurate, don't take to much notice of what it says. To be sure just charge until 100% and then for a bit longer

Actually a good battery charger usually fast charges until 80% then trickle charges the remainder (It switches the current delivery as it senses the voltage change)
