Before installing XTND Connect, were you able to close *all* applications which may use MAPI32.DLL? This is the Messaging API, other programs use this as well, not just Outlook. What other applications do you have installed in your computer?

You mentioned, "you change the file." How did you "change" it?

if you havent closed all applications before you install you should get an error when installing saying that the MAPI32.Dll is in use.......when i say change it i mean copying another MAPI32 version over the other....first you need to know the correct one for the correct OS. on the Office 97 cd there is different folders for the different OS's and the size for the one with office is approx. 800 k. however the one with the Ericcson software is only 150 k....!!! something is wrong with this picture !!!

As usually i get to figure out thing for my self....

i found out that if you are using eudora as your e mail progam you have a set of mapi and mapi32 files which you can choose to use or not ( you will find it under tools/options/mapi). turning this option of it wurx a lot better.
