hi all

the phone was released in aus about 1 month ago (on 3 anyway), we went out of stock about 1-2 weeks after getting our first shipment in.

Its been 3 or so weeks and we are yet to get any more stock in. And when a phone goes out of stock, we usually have it back in about 2 days after.

At a work meeting yesterday, we asked if we were getting it back in, manager said no, its not a decision made by 3, but a decision made by Nokia.

Has it actually been discontinued? (build quality was miserable! If it was discontinued, at least for a little while, and that was the reason, i wouldnt be shocked. Again, it was quite bad.)

Or has Nokia just pulled it from certain markets? (im not sure if the other network, Optus, still has it though here)

They pulled it from store for a couple of weeks due to a charger malfunction, but it's back in stores in full swing now, has been for a few weeks.

I suspect they're just working their way around the world sorting it out.

It is creaky, but it's supposed to be a cheap alternative to the N82, which oddly enough is a similar price at the moment. I think Nokia's intentions are for this to be a Christmas pay as you go contendor for the C902 market, which I suspect will be sub-170 by then.

Lovely phone though, can't fault it (the 6220c), I just wish it was built better.

Imense? It was imensely un-popular here, seeing as the 6230 replaced it almost right away, and even when it was out it has terrible features, it was truly awful.

Have to agree, I hated my 6220, the 6230 that followed was a classic, still got one tucked away in a box somewhere.

The original 6220 was great, funny enough the original one was also aimed at Imaging (Camera and Video), i remember wanting one but landed up getting the 7250i.

yep I just bought 6220c and the keypad is cracking so bad.

How do I check if I have the charger problem? or I have the phone from the last stock ?

but overall I love this phone, feels good in the hand although the keypad is cracking and FP2 is so fastt ,faster than A200 on K850.
