is there a way to see T300 service light? |

sorry guys if this question have been asked before but.. I couldn't find it in the search.
In the older ericsson phones and t68, there was a green service light showing for reception. as far as I see, my T300's service light only lights up when the battery is low or charging. is there a way to see the light at all times?

No, it is only a low-battery warning light.

is it just me that's shocked by this? another reason to cling onto my t68 and hope it lasts forever, if even SE's future phones aren't going to have a service light.. |

well you are not alone I was a bit shocked too, all Ericsson phones from the gh337 (I can't remember the older ones) have it. why T300 doesn't is a mystery :?

Ok, this is probably going to seem like a really stupid question to some of you, but why the heck do you need a service light for ??
And if you really want to see the light on the T300, why don't you play the Funky ring signal?

to see you have service? it's just a nice, useful feature- one quick glance at the phone, in any light, without pressing anything or even being particularly near the phone, tells you that (a) it's on, and (b) it has service. it's reassuring.
it's a trademark, traditional ericsson feature, and it just bit the dust for no good reason. just seems a shame, that's all. |

The main reason I sold my T300 and bought back a T68 was the lack of this light!:-(

The reason I don't miss it is probably that my last phone was a Nokia 3210. Guess I'm not in to the good old Ericsson traditions just yet... |

It's odd the t65 has a flashing green led for servive avalibe and flashing red for recharge required. The t200 has only a green one.
Why can't I be happy with one phone? |

First of all. The blinking light = Ericsson
And it's extremely handy for locating the phone in the dark.
I guess the blinking light has been removed to underline the fact that We no longer own ericsson phones. We own Sony Ericsson phones(yes I know the t68i has it but that phone is basically an ericsson with sony ericsson software and labels).
Still I think they should have kept it for it's usefullness.
It also blinks faster when you have received an sms or mms.
At least it did on my t65 and r320s.. It seems do be kind of random ont the t68i... either that or it only does it for a short time.... |

u all know,
it is a funny world we are living in. When the T68/i just hit the shelves, there were so many reviews about it. One of the complains commonly stated in some of these reviews was why SE still include this irritating green light which (may I quote) "cheapens" the phone.
I think SE took heed to these reviews and remove this "irritating" light.
Now we are seeing people missing the light. Truely, one man's meat is another's poison. For me, I am just glad that it is long gone...
