Ehm, few questions for me to clarify:

What file extension is the picture?

Are there any other itens on the theme? Do they work? Do you get any error messages when saving the theme in theme creator? Or when trying to use it on the phone?

.gif extension for animations and .png for still graphics are the recommended formats to use with Themes Creator for your themes.

Try making a "print screen" of that picture, cut it off with windows built it Paint app and save it as .png. May sound littly silly, but it works sometimes..

Yeah transparency doesn't matter for the format, althought the phone theme may very well force a background colour.

Still would like to see this mysterious image, maybe there is something else wrong with it?

I'm totally sure there is nothing wrong with it, I've used this picture many times on my theme, resized everytime, and I saw someone with the same probleme as me, but I dont realy get how he fixed it.

How he fixed it i pretty easy to explain. In theme creator, aside from importing images, there are (usually preset) background colours. The reason is this: theme creator really doesn't know what kind of image in what colours you have uploaded. But it HAS TO HAVE a background colour set (in case there isn't any picture uploaded for that specific part of the theme. This background colour can not conflict with the text colours and such that you set. This means: when the background is set to, for example, grey, the font colours MUST be of a colour that is different enough from grey so that you the user can read the font. So if you have grey text on grey background, no matter if you have a purple and red image set on it, the theme won't work properly on your phone. It thinks you won't be abel to read the menu!
Try fiddling with all colour settings, see if that helps.
